TWILIGHT.

I was pleasantly surprised last night. I was even surprised. In the break room, there were three different 19/20 twenty years reading. Not school books, not magazines. But they were all reading different books of TWILIGHT.

Now, I may have been living with my head buried in the sand, but I had never heard of these books. One girl stated she was on book two. So was another girl, and the third girl was still on book one.
Now, these books are HUGE hardcover books. I was really surprised and pleased to see them reading. I'm always reading something on my breaks if I'm alone. At points one would sigh. Another gasp. And they both asked the third girl "Have you gotten to part where they break into the car, moments before the sun rises? OMG." Ok, my curiosity is peaked.
I'm gonna have to find out what these are. I hope he or it or whatever is as charming as Rice's Vampire Lestat. Loved him.

I always hoped thar Anne Rice would make a sequel in which Lestat is hiring new staff for his castle. It could be called "Job Interview with a Vampire".

From what I've heard and read, these books are geared towards young adult readers, and a lot of critics don't care much for them. Not that this has hurt the author financially mind you... ;)

I don't think Edward is as good as Lestat. He is his own king. I agree with tiger tho, wouldn't that be cool???
